Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery and performance of IT Network infrastructure and operations. Focus will be on network streams for Program Alpha.
  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of new services:
  • ? WAN links
  • ? Switch installations
  • ? WiFi AP installation
  • ? APN Migration from on-premise to cloud
  • ? Network Optimization (Bandwidth upgrades, SLA Upgrades)
  • Ensure that the different teams involved in the project collaborate effectively to ensure the project's completion (GIO, BIS, SFR, TRT, Business Onsite Resource team).
  • Communicate with all key stakeholders and arrange cutover dates.
  • Manage cutover sessions (Normally scheduled late afternoons to evenings during the week. Will include weekends for bigger, more complex migrations).
  • Complete any required documentation.
  • Log changes weekly for Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Take direct lead from Project / Program Manager.
  • Standardise Project methodology, templates and processes.


Key Competencies:

  • Good understanding of IT Network infrastructure and systems. 
  • Exposed to a wide array of enterprise networking technologies & products.
  • Led/participated in network deployment, migration, and upgrade projects remotely and on-site.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, negotiation & persuasion, conflict management, risk management, project governance and discipline, organizational and critical thinking.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well at all levels to foster relationships with all stakeholders and build consensus across the project.
  • Work well within a team.
  • Acute commercial awareness of various aspects of project and operations.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Flexible in terms of working hours and easily adaptable to different tools and ways of working.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized.


Requirements:

  • 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience in network set up, migration, and refresh/upgrade projects.
  • Experience working on Aruba & Cisco switches & routers, with the ability to supervise, troubleshoot, or provide technical advice when required.
  • Bachelor or Master�s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Any industry recognized IT networking certification.
  • PMP Certified or Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner Certified preferred.
  • Well versed with Waterfall Methodology, ServiceNow, Jira, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communicator in English and possess great interpersonal skills.
