By joining us, you will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking workforce dedicated to shaping the future of technology.
Unleash your Potential
We are looking for a DCV Senior Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software for diagnostics, calibration, and verification (DCV) of semiconductor Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). This role focuses on developing software that interacts closely with ATE hardware and instrumentation to support diagnostics, calibration, verification, and the performance and reliability of ATE instruments and systems. The role requires strong software engineering skills, as well as a solid understanding of hardware-software interactions, instrumentation, and measurement-related challenges. The position involves close collaboration with software, firmware, hardware, and applications engineers across global teams, and is well-suited for engineers who enjoy working with complex, long-lived systems and value technical depth, ownership, and collaboration.
Impact You Will Make
Design, develop, and maintain DCV software for semiconductor ATE, including diagnostics, calibration, verification, and related functionality.
Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python to support DCV development, test automation, measurement data analysis, and engineering tools.
Collaborate closely with other software engineers, as well as firmware, hardware, and applications engineers, throughout the design, development, integration, testing, and support of ATE solutions.
Participate in requirements discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and software release activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving software behavior, firmware interactions, hardware dependencies, instrument behavior, and measurement results, including issues observed on hardware or in simulation environments.
Analyze test and measurement data to support diagnostics, calibration, verification, and performance evaluation, including the use of statistical or process capability metrics where appropriate.
Develop software and test solutions that improve the reliability, diagnosability, performance, and maintainability of ATE instruments and systems.
Support and enhance legacy DCV software while contributing to new features and the ongoing evolution of ATE products and platforms.
Identify opportunities to improve development processes, software tools, test automation, and engineering practices.
Our Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience developing and maintaining complex, production-quality software systems, preferably with experience in diagnostics, calibration, verification, or other hardware-oriented software development.
Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
Solid experience with Python for software development, test automation, data analysis, or engineering tools.
Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
Experience developing software that interacts closely with hardware, instrumentation, or test and measurement systems.
Understanding of diagnostics, calibration, verification, characterization, or related hardware-oriented software development.
Familiarity with instrumentation, measurement principles, or hardware-related test methodologies.
Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional and cross-site teams.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience with semiconductor ATE or industrial automation systems.
Experience with calibration, characterization, diagnostics, or verification of ATE instruments, hardware, or test systems.
Experience with automated test, calibration, or verification solutions.
Knowledge of microprocessor-based systems, hardware control, hardware interfaces, or hardware drivers.
Understanding of basic digital logic, analog circuits, or electronics fundamentals.
Familiarity with laboratory or measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, or similar instruments.
Experience with statistical analysis or process capability metrics, such as mean, variation, or Cpk.
Experience supporting customer-facing or field engineering activities.
Familiarity with modern software development practices, source control, code review, and continuous integration.
