About the role

PEM Fasteners (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled IT Engineer to join our team in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and advancing our technology infrastructure. As an IT Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network and systems architecture, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across the organisation. This role is integral to supporting our business operations and enabling our teams to work efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of IT hardware, peripheral devices, and software applications. Maintain  Window 2016server

• Oversee the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured generic cabling systems, telecom virtual networks, and telephone systems

• Assist in MIS daily maintenance

• Provide hands-on support for computer hardware and software issues across the organization

• Collaborate with other departments to understand IT needs and deliver effective technical solutions Ensure documentation of IT processes, systems, and troubleshooting steps is maintained and up-to-date

• System support for ERP (JDE), MES, WMS, OA, and other software systems

• To carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• Proven experience in networks and systems administration, with at least 5 years in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and system architecture

• Experience with server management, virtualisation technologies, and cloud platforms

• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools

• Understanding of IT security principles, firewalls, and data protection measures

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
