Role overview

We are looking for a curious, proactive individual to support the team in improving how we work through AI, automation and digital tools.

You will initially work closely with the Team Lead, assisting with ongoing projects, exploring ideas and turning discussions into practical solutions. You are not expected to lead projects independently from day one. As your skills and understanding develop, you will gradually take ownership of tasks and smaller projects.

Key responsibilities

- Work alongside the Team Lead to understand problems, explore ideas and improve existing processes.

- Help clarify user requirements, organise information and translate discussions into clear action items.

- Assist in building and improving digital tools, applications and workflows using AI-assisted development and automation.

- Prepare simple prototypes, gather feedback and refine solutions with the team.

- Test changes, reproduce reported issues and document findings. Check usability, data accuracy, access permissions and the impact on existing processes.

- Research relevant tools and approaches, and discuss their suitability with the Team Lead.

- Maintain clear progress updates, change records and user guides; support users and follow up on issues until resolved.


Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field. Candidates from other backgrounds with relevant practical projects are also encouraged to apply.

- Basic programming knowledge and some hands-on experience building a website, application, automation or digital tool through studies, personal projects or work.

- Interest in AI-assisted development, automation and user experience. A basic understanding of databases and APIs is an advantage.

- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to two years of relevant experience are welcome.

You do not need to be highly experienced in every area, but should have a basic foundation and be willing to develop these skills through practical work:

- Logical thinking: Break problems into steps and consider different scenarios.

- Understanding requirements: Listen carefully, ask questions and check assumptions.

- Communication: Explain ideas clearly, share progress and raise difficulties early.

- Problem-solving: Investigate causes, explore solutions and follow through, seeking help when needed.

- Attention to detail and responsibility: Check results, handle company information carefully and take ownership of assigned tasks.

- Learning and teamwork: Be open to feedback, work well with guidance and actively contribute ideas.

Tools and technical exposure

You may work with OpenAI Codex and other AI-assisted tools, alongside tools for version control, databases, API integration, testing and deployment. Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, Git or automation platforms is an advantage. You do not need to know every tool before joining.

You will be expected to check the accuracy and suitability of AI-generated outputs, rather than assume they are correct.

Gaji: RM 3,000 – RM 4,500 per month
