Job Description
We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-impact cybersecurity projects, from Penetration Testing and Security Posture Assessments to Network Forensics and beyond. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients and internal teams, ensuring projects meet the highest security standards while staying ahead of emerging threats and technologies. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the deployment, report preparation, and commissioning of all Network Security related projects, which include but are not limited to Penetration Testing, Security Posture Assessment, Network Forensics, and others.
- Responsible for presales activities, such as proposal preparation and presentations to customers.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with security requirements.
- Conduct security assessments, analyse findings, and recommend remediation measures.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends.
- Perform other tasks and duties as deemed fit and necessary by the company.
Qualifications
- Open to Malaysian citizens only.
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Higher qualifications will be an advantage."
- Relevant working experience in IT, networking, or cybersecurity is an advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of network and security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions.
- Familiarity with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and network forensics tools and methodologies will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with common penetration testing concepts (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Exposure to security tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, or OWASP ZAP (academic or self-study).
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Pentest+, CEH or other relevant certificates are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Able to prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices.
